1. What is the YY Zone?
The YY Zone is a dedicated section within the My3 App for YY Mobile plan users, offering DSE learning support resources designed to enhance learning outcomes.

DSE Learning Resource Library
DSE-related learning materials are uploaded by Defining Education tutors and made available free of charge. These resources are available exclusively to YY Mobile users, making it convenient to study anytime, anywhere.

Weekly Quizzes
Professionally crafted DSE practice questions created by YY Lam and his team help students reinforce their knowledge. Five new questions are released each week to support practice and applied learning.

Motivational Quotes
Inspirational quotes are sent every other day at 8am via My3 App to inspire users and provide positive learning encouragement for learning. All quotes are created or curated by YY Lam and his team to motivate students in their daily studies.

YY Articles
Lifestyle and literary articles are published periodically and written by YY Lam or professional editors. These articles provide a channel for engagement with YY while broadening students' horizons through fresh knowledge, perspectives, and insights.
2. How to Redeem Defining Education Vouchers?
YY Mobile customers subscribing to eligible plans can receive Defining Education vouchers, including:
  • A $500 Course Discount Voucher (Chinese version not in point form)
  • A Free Trial Voucher for selected courses in the 2026-2027 academic year


Redemption Method
  • For in-store subscriptions to YY Mobile monthly plans: Vouchers can be collected directly from retail shops;
  • For new subscriptions made online with a physical SIM: Vouchers will be delivered by post;
  • For subscription with an eSIM and renewals made online or by phone: Customers will receive an SMS with voucher redemption instructions within one day of service activation. Customers should redeem their Vouchers at a designated retail shop according to the instructions provided in the SMS. No replacement vouchers will be issued after the redemption period has expired.
3. Eligibility and Restrictions
  • $500 Discount Voucher:
    Applicable only to enrollment in Defining Education’s 2026–2027 academic year "Star" summer bridging courses, regular courses, or intensive study courses for S.1–S.6 with courses fees of $500 or above.
  • Free Trial Voucher:
    Applicable only to enrollment in Defining Education’s 2026–2027 academic year "Star" summer bridging courses, regular courses, or intensive study courses for S.1–S.6 conducted by designated new instructors* with courses fees of $1500 or below.
Other Terms and limitation:
  • To redeem the Vouchers, customers must first register as a student on Defining Education’s official website and present the Vouchers and valid identification documents at the time of enrolment.
  • Each Voucher can only be used once, and only one Voucher can be used per transaction.
  • Vouchers cannot be redeemed for cash or used in conjunction with other Defining Education discount programs (except designated programmes). If the value of a Voucher exceeds the course fee, no change or credit will be given.
  • Only original Vouchers are valid; photocopies will not be accepted.
  • Lost, defaced, or damaged Vouchers will be considered invalid and will not be reissued.
  • Vouchers must bear Defining Education’s official stamp to be valid.

Online Subscription Procedures

What are the benefits of subscribing online?
Online subscription can be done in just 5 minutes. The SIM card will be delivered to your home directly, making the process quick and simple. What’s more, you can enjoy privileges like bonus data, admin fee waiver, and monthly fee discounts!

Are there any hidden charges in online subscription?
All pricing details for the plans are clearly listed on our 3HK website, with no hidden charges.

My existing contract is not finished yet, how do I choose the "service start date"?
You can select the contract expiry date of your current service provider as your "3HK service start date". The actual start date will also depend on when you submit online documents and the approval status.
If you're unsure when your existing contract expires, we suggest the following:
  • Log in to your current service provider’s online account or mobile app to check
  • Visit retail stores or call the customer service hotline of your current service provider for assistance

Do I need to notify my current service provider when porting to 3HK?
No! Once you complete the online subscription, we will notify your current service provider.

What documents do I need to prepare for online subscription?
Please have your ID document and credit card information ready before starting the online subscription.

Can I choose a new mobile number myself?
Yes! During the online subscription process, we will provide options for new phone numbers for you to choose from.

How do I know if I have successfully subscribed/ported in?
After completing the online subscription procedures, you will receive a confirmation email from 3HK.

When will I receive my SIM card?
You will receive your 3HK SIM card within 3-5 working days at your registered address. Please note that actual delivery may be delayed due to various circumstances.

If I have other questions after my subscription, who can I contact for help?

Do I need to make a prepayment when signing up?
New customers are required to prepay HK$100 by credit card for subscription. This prepayment will be credited to customers’ account on the first bill. (For customers applying for the "Member Referral Programme", an additional designated prepaid amount is required, which will be credited to your account in three installments.)
Service Details

How do I activate mainland China and Macau data in my monthly plan?
Simply enable the "Data Roaming" feature on your phone while in mainland China or Macau, and you can use the data with no SIM swaps, it’s very convenient!

How can I check my data usage and call minutes?
You can download and log-in to the My3 App to check the information like data usage and local voice minutes.
