Funding Target
- Public sector schools and Direct Subsidy Scheme (DSS) schools
Funding Scope
- Integrate curriculum and teaching strategies to enrich the English and Putonghua language environment and learning experience
Application Deadline
- No application is required. Each aided school (including special schools), caput schools, and DSS schools received two one-off grants in December 2024. Schools can flexibly deploy the two grants until the end of the 2026/27 school year
Funding Amount
- The two one-off grants, namely the "One-off Grant for Promotion of Self-directed Language Learning (English Language)" and the "One-off Grant for Promotion of Self-directed Language Learning (Putonghua)", with an amount of HKD $200,000 each
Applicable Schemes
- Promotion of self-directed language learning and enrichment of the language learning environment, such as purchasing language learning resources, hiring teachers/ staff, or subscribing to services
